Eileen Hagen

Eileen Hagen is a world class piano accordion teacher who has been teaching since 1949, when she was 17 years old. She began taking lessons at age 9, and her teacher was Luigi Rangan. She is also an established arranger and a respected competition adjudicator.

She received her Bachelor of Arts majoring in the study of the accordion. She has been an accordion instructor for both Portland State University and PCC, and has performed for many conventions, tours, banquets, and receptions.

Some of her most successful students include Alicia Baker, Jonas Nordwall, Greg Meier, Dick Noel, and many others.

Diane Hagen

Diane Hagen is the daughter of Eileen Hagen, and currently manages the studio. She has been playing the accordion since she was 2 1/2 years old. At age 3, Diane was on Stars Of Tomorrow and Rusty Nails Cartoons. At age 5, she began competing in competitions. She has taken many first place trophies both in young and middle age, including KIOTAC competitions and many others.

In addition to teaching, Diane also performs for all occasions! She has played for festivals and events, retirement homes, private home parties, and restaurants (like The Rheinlander). Nobody can make the folks dance like Diane! It brings Diane a lot of joy when she can play her accordion and make people happy.
